This is a pretty famous landmark in Berlin. I know it as "the angel" from Wim Wenders 1987 film 'Wings of Desire' - so the rock reference here is because that film features a fantastic scene with Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. At one stage the Angel, who can hear people's thoughts - illustrated in the flim through the use of black-and-white footage, attends a Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds concert. Then he hears Nick's thoughts - "One more song and it's over. But I'm not gonna tell you about a girl, I'm not gonna tell you about a girl." Then it cuts to him in color, real life, onstage saying: "I wanna tell you about a girl" and the band launch into a blistering version of 'From Her To Eternity'.
